Yes, We Can!

Janis from http://justbreathejanis.blogspot.com/
nominated me for this award this morning.

Thank you Janis! You are the original Sugar Doll.  She called me a composed writer!

I'd like to bestow this compliment to
House Speaker,  Honorable Nancy Pelosi.

Yes, she is!

Composed, stylish, full of wisdom and knowledge,  she managed to bring a group of democrats teetering on the brink of failure to their senses.

Health Care Reform: is a reality this morning, March 22, 2010.
Our children and grandchildren will remember this date, this Congress, this presidency, this woman.

And for that, she is our Sugar Doll this morning; all of ours.

"From now on, being a woman is no longer a 'pre-existing condition'." (her words!)

Way to Go, Girl!

I am glad that the bill passed and also glad that Pelosi has softened her tone. She was a little harsh in the earlier days and sometimes made me cringe when she and Cantor got into it. But she now seems more comfortable in her role and able to ignore the personal epithets.

I think I will reserve my thoughts on this Health Care Bill until I see if it works or not. I have been vascillating about it all during the debate about it. What I feel the most is that we really don't know what it includes and what it doesn't. If it works as they anticipated it to work. It is a big step and I hope it is as effective as Medicare and Social Security is. We really needed a change and I am hoping that this is the first crucial step to improve what we have. And I am not a Republican either.

I hope that she pulls the knives out in November and never lets the nation forget the right's oft vituperative obstructive sound bites. there is time for sweet and there is time for knife fighting by the sweet.
