The Sunshine Award: Continued

Please visit my previous post for details.

Today's nominees for the Sunshine Award are:

Eleonora at http://agliooliopeperoncino.blogspot.com/  a trip to Italy, including all things tasty.

Ribbon at http://mindscene.blogspot.com/  a view into fragments and memory of life in Australia.

Nicky at http://absolutevanilla.blogspot.com/ life in South Africa, its beauty and its challenges.

At no other time in history did we touch each other so easily, with a click of a finger on a computer pad. We can see sights, learn history, taste new foods, understand the challenges and hopes of people all over the world.

I have known the three ladies mentioned above for a long time; my eyes have widened and my appreciation of people's resilience and good will has grown each time I read their posts.

With each visit, we change; we widen our perspective; we grow wings.

What fun it will be to visit these blogs...years ago, I did a spectacular cruise from Sydney to Auckland so I look forward to seeing Australia, I wish I could visit South Africa - I do enjoy their pinotage wine, and, of course, I've been blessed to visit parts of Italy on several occasions.

Congrats to the recipients! You put it so clearly, Rosaria--the richness we have at our fingertips, the connections we can make around the world, and the generosity of open hearts given to us by so many bloggers.

I love how the internet connects so many people around the world. Understanding and appreciation of all our different lifestyles and cultures is key to making this planet a better place to live.

I shall go and visit the blogs you mention. They sound very interesting.

The internet, and blogging in particular, are as close to a form of magic as it is possible to get. It is making this not only a "small world" but a much more intimate one.

Knowing two out of the three mentioned here, I couldn't agree more. I always come away feeling cheered by their words.
