New topics, new blog, new adventures

I

I'm back home, surrounded by sea, mountains, water.
Life is good again.
I'm looking forward to my grandchild's visit and the activities we'll be involved in. For a few weeks, we will not think of doctors and meds and life's inconveniences.  We will fish and cook, eat and talk.
so
I've started a new blog to record the simple activities of cooking and preparing meals
things for her to savor
to remember
to try on her own
to connect her to these moments
to connect her to this place
and this time.

Hi Helen, thanks for the interest. I'll be sharing simple shopping, and food preparation for those people who are starting to think about eating better. For my grandchild, it is all about giving her confidence to get busy cooking for herself.

Your granddaughter is very blessed with you as her grandparents. What a time of bonding and learning this will be, for all concerned.

Her being your grandchild is all right. Otherwise it would have sexist since many men including little me enjoy cooking...and not only on BBQs.

Lucky grandchild. It will be forever ( and I'm running out of time ), I think, before I have one. Alex and Laura have now been married three months and I am waiting patiently for an announcement!!!

I'll be checking out your new site. I love your posts on food and gardening; I am sure I'll love your recipes.

Loved the shots in your previous post. It's been 30 years since I have been on the Oregon Coast....
