Tagged.

Meredith, from Thethingswecarried tagged me this week. The rules are simple: name six blogs to play along, and name six unimportant things which make you happy.
I can do this.

Six unimportant things which make me happy:

1. Calls from my children and grandchild. I can't get enough of them. I want to know what they eat, what is happening at their work, what they are reading, what they are watching on television.

2. A clean house.
Not the actual cleaning, but the result, the end result. I can sit and enjoy the results and feel as though the world is now all right again.

3. New seedlings peeking up from the ground.

4. Fitting into old clothes. I know what you're thinking. Some things I can't give away; so, if I get into those outfits and still feel pretty and young, then they were worth keeping.

5. Finding stuff in the freezer that I can warm up and serve for dinner. While I enjoy cooking, our schedule at times is hectic and having meals ready to defrost helps my mood.

Now, for the list of newer blog friends to reveal to us their five things:

Paul at : http://potsoc.blogspot.com/

Jane at : http://gastonstudio.blogspot.com

Frankofile: http://frankofile.blogspot.com/

Angela: http://angelarecada.blogspot.com/

These are relative new blogs for me; I'm hoping these writers will not mind being tagged. If you are interested in answering the tag, feel free to follow the instructions. Enjoy.

Also... from a time ago when you posted a pic of your seedlings growing - I was so impressed with the effort that you apply to grow your tomatoes. They're something that we can grow here with little or no effort even during water restrictions.

Yes...a good five. Except I lose things in my freezer. It's like food sliding into a big black hole.

Have a happy holiday, Rosaria. I hope you get to spend lots of time with your sprouts and seedlings.

Not unimportant stuff at all. I'm always amazed by how it is the simple stuff that fills our lives.

Thanks for thinking of me lakeviewer, I'll be delighted to play along. It's past my bedtime now and I've just gotten my new computer set up. At least it won't be crashing on me which has been happening daily for over 3 weeks! So I'll play along over the weekend.

I feel like you about a clean house and fitting into old clothes!
My kids think I'm crazy.

There's nothing like finding meal salvation hidden in the back of the freezer.

Always it is the simple things that make us happy...the lucky ones learn this early on.

Lovely list - don't know if I can think of more things like this but I'll give it a go. Thanks for tagging me.

Great list! I just like fitting INTO my clothes, old, current, I'm not picky. Plus, i love it when you find money in old clothes. That's like christmas in MAY!

I'm really with you there on one and five. But isn't it interesting how what we write down as "unimportant things" can really be VERY important? Like the phone calls, for instance. And if any of those were truly unimportant would you have even thought of them? Bet there isn't one you'd easily give up!

I'm afraid there's a problem with reading your blog because there are only 5 listed things that make you happy (not at all unimportant!!) and 5 tagged blogs... Blogger's hungry and has eaten part of your post...

Ciao and have a great holiday. Hope you get to spend it with your kids and grandchildren. Baci

I, too, love a clean house. Strangely I love the cleaning part, too, as long as I don't have to hurry through it. I find simple domestic jobs to be so satisfying. Vacuuming is instant gratification, for instance.

Sometimes I'm really on it and sometimes not. But I do love sitting in a clean room. Clean room = clean mind.

Hi and thanks for checking out my blog. You had asked how I found you. The answer: I don't know! I generally look at the blog list of sites that I enjoy. You must have been on one of them. I'm glad I found yours. As Jimmy D. would say: "Good night, Mrs. Rosaria, wherever you are."

Hi Rosaria - I put the "no tag zone" on my side bar because we have such an old computer, it takes forever to do some things, like link to other websites in a post. I was more than happy to play along, since you asked so graciously!
:0)
I can relate to your list, too. I love the simple things the best of all.
Hugs,
Angela

I love your 5 choices!
You are a sweetheart and I am always tickled to see you comment on my Blog. I have been overwhelmed lately and seeing you "keep in touch" means much to me. Thank you for having faith in me! God Bless you my little Angel!

I LOVE a clean house. Sometimes I can't sleep because I just know the dog toys are still scattered in the den. I'm twisted, eh?

Polly said...

I totally agree on the clean house, I love it when my flat is spotless although I must say I also enjoy the cleaning process... I'm weird like that. Cleaning relaxes me.

La Belette Rouge said...

Really nice list. I love a clean house and yet I don't love cleaning. Just last night I dreamt about having a housekeeper. It was a lovely dream.

Are we twins? lol.

Rosaria a beautiful comment once again.

I love a clean house too. Can't do it anymore and half the time before the cleaning lady comes (every 2 weeks) it can look like a pigsty.

I like all the things you like! I don't have a grandchild, but I'm a sponge for my daughter's life happenings. And finding dinner in the freezer is like finding money on the sidewalk.
