And to the Academy, from where I stand...

Yesterday, the gods of the BLOGOSPHERE, saw fit to nominate me for an award:

The Best Blog Thinker Award was handed to this blog by French Fancy.

(The actual image is missing because of my ineptitude. If you wish to see it, or if you scroll to the end and see your name as the new recipient, go to French Fancy and copy the award for yourself. This happens to be one of many technological challenges I'm trying to conquer in this lifetime. Sorry, for this long, tedious, but so very true technical interruption.)

This is what she writes:

"This award acknowledges the values that every Blogger displays in their effort to transmit cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values with each message they write. Awards like this have been created with the intention of promoting community among Bloggers. It’s a way to show appreciation and gratitude for work that adds value to the Web.”

I am speechless.
Thank you, French Fancy, for your generosity and thoughtfulness.
I in turn, will nominate the following blogs to receive this award:

-Sixtyup

-Absolute Vanilla and (Attila)

-LettersfromUsedom

-Picsandpoems

-Lizzyfrizzfrock

-Circlingmyhead

There are also, hundreds of you who have touched my life and expanded my horizon. For a few hours each day, or night, we reach across this Universe and share our experiences with each other, crying, laughing, opening new windows of opportunity, seeing the world with a new set of eyes. What a small world we have created.

Thank you FrancyFancy for your generous expression of friendship.

To everyone who reads this post, your perspective is priceless.

Alice-I look forward to your posts, looking back to an age when everything is changing and demanding of your attention. Thanks for stopping by. How is this last semester looking for you?

Renee-I can't say much about my intellect and heart, because both of them are irreparebly old and falling apart. But my friends, they are new and vibrant and show me so much more of this world than I could ever know. Thank you Renee for your insights and raw sentiments. You teach all of us to tell the truth.

Cheryl- I laugh every time I write your real name with your pen name-same in my own case, too. We are both of an age when we can look back and weigh our experiences, without regrets, without dramas. We can encourage and share without needing anything back. It is a good age, indeed. Thanks for your support and encouragement.

Oh that is so deserved - well done!
And in turn, thank you for bestowing it on me - I think it's one of the nicest awards I've encountered in blogosphere.

Thank you for the nomination, dear lady. Passing it on will take some thought. I don't suppose it is fair to nominate back at ya, right?

(Appreciate being priceless... that means FREE, eh what?)

Isn't funny that when someone says a comment and it is nice, you are pleased.

And then when that same comment is said by someone you respect, it is more than nice and you are more than pleased.

Karen- those who follow our journey are pilgrims on the same road.

Angela-I'm sure you started this pacing, this stepping up of ours.

LoriAnn- I'm please by your visit. I don't know how you can keep up with all the people who write to you.

DaveKing-you have become a pace-setter in my circle. I look forward to your visual riches.

Val-we were destined to meet, seeing that we run in the same circle. I shall drop in and visit you as well.

M- my longest follower and inspirer of all good writing and sharing. You can go out there as I have and start passing out candies too.

Renee- I've had trouble leaving comments on your blog-and on many other blogs as well in the last couple of days- I appreciate your heartfelt sentiments.
