May your days be merry and bright...

The sun is shining Bright here in the Far West, on Christmas Eve.
Newkie is making Merry, as murmurs of starlings cause her to change positions. It is, otherwise, a quiet morning, destined to be a quiet night too, with an occasional Crab boat's  bobbing lights disturbing her rest for a few seconds.

I have all I need in front of me, she says. The crab boat will bring me fresh fish; the people in the house will change my litter box soon after my needs are met.
I'm the pet of the house and they treat me as though I were a Christmas present!

Don't you wish your present was this good?

Merry Christmas!

Oh my... we rescued a 5 month old feral one month ago and he is currently hiding under the bed in one of the bedrooms_ his tenth hiding place. Patience, lots of love and tenderness, I am hoping, will bring him around so he comes to me rather than me always going to him.

Merry Christmas, to you and your family, Rosaria! May blessings continue to flow and find well-being for us all in 2012.

Merry Christmas Rosaria...Your weather sounds like ours this year, but we don't have the beautiful ocean! I'm sending a cyber hug and many happy thoughts for a good 2012..

My dog has similar sentiments. Until we eliminated the chipmunks because we lost all our trees to an ice storm.

She still makes out pretty good--not a worry regardless of weather of time of day she has a dry dog house and a soft comforter on the bed to snooze. And a new toy for Christmas.

We bipeds don't know how to appreciate the simple gifts of life.
