You Never Know with Climate Change...

A couple of times a year we go south for a few weeks, to soak in the sun, catch up with our two boys and their respective lives in Southern California.  We crave the sunshine by November, and by February we are desperate for warm temperatures, opportunities to shop, dine, visit, enjoy all the attractions big cities provide.

The weather was winter watch  conditions on the drive down to Eureka where we caught our small plane for L.A. Snow and ice and hail and nasty rain made the drive uncomfortable. Plus, Hubby had a cold that developed into a nasty chest- head-throat disability.

Wait!
It's raining hard here too.
People are speaking of much rain in the forecast.
We are not deterred.
There are so many great bookstores, and Nordstrom Rack, and In-N-Out, and.........
I may be too busy to visit or post, or notice, or take photos.

Benvenuto! Just be patient...the rain will pass and will have your sunshine. Do tell about your favorite bookstores. A new one opened up in Manhattan Beach on Manhattan Ave. called {pages}. Nice to see independent bookstores pop up!

Portland news last night said it was seven degrees cooler than usual the last few days. Are you returning to Oregon this coming week? Be prepared for much colder temps, according to KGW. I hope the weather where you are breaks and issues forth sunny days to heal your husband's chest cold and, heck, just to be warm!

I do sympathize. February in the northwest of England is pretty grim ... and grey ... and rainy. Hope you end up having some fun in the sun!:-)

Stay dry as possible and have fun.

Enjoy your change of environment, wet or dry. It often helps our spirits even if we live in our own paradise. Hope you find some good books.

I'm thinking husband and I need this too. Unfortunately, the change may be medically induced, but that will be OK.

My son and I headed to Georgia in late January - a two week visit. It was nicer in Bend than it was in the South!

My daughter and I are planning a high school graduation trip for my granddaughter ~~ Italy in late July/August. Please tell me it's OK to ask you a question or two or three.

(Oh, just look at my word verification ... foregisi - sounds very Italian don't you think?)
