Simple Things

I just came back from visiting a new blog, Christina's  Soul Apertures.

It stopped me cold. I'm here to list my simple things:

*a view like this
*a plate of spaghetti
*a phone call from my kids/grandkid
*a kiss
*a walk
*a rainy day that ends in sunshine

Write your simple things today and be thankful.  Visit Christina's post and add your comment. Her spirit will soar and her comments  will help the folks in Haiti.

That is a beautiful view. My simple things would have to include pepperoni pizza, phone calls from my little grandkids, time spent with my husband, chocolate, and a good book.

How often do we really stop and appreciate the simplest of things in our lives? Thank you for sharing yours and for the link.

Thanks for the heads up on simple things--an easy assignment! I left my list at Christina's and discovered a whole new world of sisters.

I've enjoyed these simple things blogs today! That view, however, is not so simple...it's magnificent!

The simple things are often the best things.

The simpler the better, it seems.

There was an article in Parade last Sunday about this very thing, about how we are getting past the money buys happiness theory and realizing that it's friends, family and the simple things that bring us happiness. Duh!

It is the simple things that can replenish a soul! Nature, hearty food, love, movement, good endings. Beautiful post!

Thank you for sharing Soul Aperture...DH and I saw the movie "Blind Side" tonight (yes, they take a while to get over to those of us at overseas bases)... I was onion-eyed through most of the movie...fortunately I just leaked tears ...no sobs to distract the other viewers.

My prompt today was 10 happy things. They're fairly simple too. I liked your simple things. I see the joy in them.

I'll do that as soon as I savor yours. And I really meant it when I said to tell about being brave and talented at a young age.

I love that list, and not just because you included a plate of spaghetti and I'm hungry!

Enjoyed your list of simple things. Many of those are mine, too.

Simplicity is very powerful; complexity can be distracting, clutter is definitely distracting.

How funny. We both visited each other's secondary blogs. My main one is https://www.comesitbymyfire.blogspot.com. Maybe I'll see you there?

I would be SO happy if my mom or dad wrote a few simple words to me every day, if I was near enough to hug them, if the silence that separates us was less loud, if…
Is that simple? Am I simple? I’m afraid that more simple I try to be, more complicated my life becomes.
Thank you for telling us all this nice, small and simple truths every day.
