The lure of a new path

Not all paths are alike, though each moves us to abandon the known
the dark night of comfort
that can choke the air
in that familiar way.

A walking path with secret recesses
and vistas
surprises us with ups and downs, hides the
obvious, squirrels its booty
until we're ready to appreciate them.

Funny how a new path never tires us.

What a nice, and true, little poem. May we always find new paths.

Oh, so true! And those secret recesses can make even a well-trodden path seem new, at times. Thank you for this!

Very nice! Gave me food for thought as I am comfortable in well worn paths. Stepping out on new ground requires taking risk for uncertain rewards.

Yes. In the way that traveling broadens our horizons...lovely poem, Rosaria.

Sometimes new path frighten me because I don’t know where they end and I might find myself out on a limb.
But, on the whole, step out and explore, that’s my motto.

A new path can be daunting to me. I am willing to explore though. I guess that is a good thing.

Argh, replying from phone and accidentally hit delete on your comment! However, thank you!

As for new paths, agreed! I hope there are always many waiting to be found and laid :).
