Spring Weather

Between the lake and the ocean are just a few feet of sand dunes. This last week we've seen waves pushing through, above the berms, roiling up the lake and adding foam and salinity.

From my deck, I can see each rivulet forming and snaking down from the dunes after each crashing wave.
This is the driveway, under constant barrage.

Yes, that's ice, hail accumulating on the deck, keeping us behind close doors.
Today's weather: wet, with possible snow showers and coastal flooding.

No egg-hunts for me tomorrow morning!
We just hope the winds don't knock out the power.

Happy Easter, everyone!

Buona Pasqua! I hope your power doesn't go out and that a warmer front will soon come along. If it makes you feel better it's cold and grey here too...

Un abbraccio,

The weather still doesn't seem to know which end is up!
Yesterday we were told would be terrible rain... no, scudding clouds and sunshine.
Today was going to be sunshine and warmth all the way... no, quick appearances of the sun between April showers.
hail stones this morning as well.
Have a warm and cosy Easter.

Oh what a beautiful view from your deck. Perfect weather to cuddle a book with.

I do hope you have a nice and comfy Easter Sunday.
Up here we are having unseasonnaly warm and nice weather. Yesterday we had 27C when it should normally not have risen over 10C to 14C.
For the first time ever we had a barbecue and ate on the patio with the whole family.
Yes, the weather is upside down...but I selfishly like it.

Oh, Happy Easter to you.

I'm surprised there is a fresh water lake so close to the ocean.

I do hope your day is warm and cozy ~~ Inside! We won't be doing any Egg Hunts here either. So I'll turn on the fireplace, make a yummy dinner and enjoy my family.

I hope that your weather improves. We have had a sunny day and have managed to do some gardening. Strangely I am not far from Fire Byrd but have had different weather!

I hope that you had a good Easter.

Oh heavens! I don't remember such nasty weather when I lived there. Hope you had a lovely Easter inspite the ice.

You certainly got some bad weather recently. Rhode Island got 200 year flooding. So unpredictable this spring.

Ice...! Holy doodle. I hope it goes away soon.

It has been very chilly up here in Vancouver too. After that storm on Friday, Whistler Mountain got three feet of snow. We could have used that while the Olympics were here. :-)

Stay warm!
