One of these days...

We're doing a lot of wishing and hoping, checking the horizon, divining the wind.
We're looking forward to the sunshine
to times we can spend outdoors

I could be throwing a line and catching a perch
or
canoeing in these shallow waters
hoping to be inspired
hoping to coax the sun out
I could be taking my shoes off and waddle around
sinking in the cold sand
hoping for a good workout
to take my mind off
my goal

to plant
to weed
to encourage new seedlings
to create edible
gardens
and lush growth.

One of these days,
 I will have them.

p.s. Blogger has just blocked me from importing pictures from my documents. What you see here are recycled photos from this blog. I know, I must adapt and learn yet a new way to do my old thing.

I was going to show you my Cime di Rapa and other new tiny growth, still in the sunroom, waiting to get big enough and strong enough to be planted outdoors.
Visit Eleanor for her Cime di Rape
recipe today!

Enjoy!
Tell her you're waiting for my recipe!

I've been having trouble with pictures on Blogger too. I have also had problems posting comments, so people think I'm not visiting them anymore, but I am...! *heh*

Canoeing is my favorite thing in the world to do. My very favorite!

Enjoy. :-)

There's nothing better than being outside in the summertime. Hope you catch some nice fish.

Great dock...I would be out there in a deck chair!

What a beautiful place you live!!! The only thing I lack is water, but thankfully, we have a river not too far away. Your garden looked so lush and rich! I'll be sending you warm thoughts for warmer days really soon! (It's almost too beautiful for words here in Louisiana. I told someone this is the finest Spring I've ever encountered in my 55 years in this state!) Blessings!

Your goals are perfect and someday it will all be the routine. Blogger has a new template and if you click on the very first faded icon it should lead you to import or upload.

Life seems exciting for you!!! On top of which your memoir ... challenging, frustrating, exhausting, satisfying ... and now 'how the heck will I get it published!' lol

In reply to your comment, I have questions: Who do you want to read your memoir? Do you want it published as a commercial venture? Or do you only want to publish for family, friends - for posterity? Then self-publishing would work. Once you decide whether you are seeking commercial publishing or self-publishing then it gets easier.

Pumpkin Press edits, designs the book, proof-reads and preps everything for the printer. Pumpkin Press helps people to self publish but, locally (so far) in my area Scotland.

LV, I'm here with you all the way. Questions about publishing then throw them my way.

Oregon outdoors beckons at this time of year. So many choices.

Please ... Spring ... please arrive in Bend Oregon! I haven't had problems posting photos ~ yet.

Do you have any idea why that happens?

Why does blogger mess with us so much?

It is currently snowing - I feel your need to get outside. I don't think winter is ever going to end!

Ug, why do they always change everything? Just when we get the hang of it? I am so looking forward to spring too. Of course our seasons aren't as drastically different here in Southern California, but still...

I'm almost 30 and I was thinking "what now?" But it seems as though we never really find the answer to that question... I suppose life is really just about the search?

Lovely photos of the lake and the dock and your budding garden of vegetables. That reminds me, I will go out now and plant some more Sugar Pod Snow Pea seeds!

What a coincidence. I just posted a bit about waiting to get plants into the garden. I got a kick out of the photo of your garden - with the chain linked fence! You must have some serious critters in your area.

I planted some herb seeds last weekend and the little beauties are already poking their heads out of the soil. I can't wait to move them out to the fresh air and sunshine and then to make use of them in my cooking. Mmmm...dinner.

Sorry you're having Blogger woes but your photos are quite lovely. No doubt you'll enjoy your time. :)

Yes blogger is a buggar at times :)

I love what you are saying here without your chosen photos anyway... wishing is good, but action is more fun.

Roll on sunshine for you

xx Robyn

ps.. I don't think I have had the pleasure of fishing since childhood.

I hate sudden changes in blogger. this new picture loader stinks. But really it works like the other one, you just upload new pictures from your computer to whichever file (I used the blog file) and then double click on the image to post it in the new post window. And excuse me if I misunderstand what you meant.

My garden is all in now. So glad.

Thank you for visiting my blog. This is a return visit - it is lovely to see your part of the world - Oregon is a state I have never visited but your lake looks absolutely lovely. How I would like to live on the shores of a shallow lake, where I could canoe on nice days! Do call and see me again..
