The rest of the family: The Comforters

The Comforters is an indie singer/songwriter group, husband and wife team, Pia and Jason, here in a live music performance in Portland. Pia is our daughter, the middle child, between S and B, the boys you met in my previous post.

Besides writing all their own songs, The Comforters perform and record at their own music studio in Eugene, Oregon. Whenever we can, hubby and I like to take in the live performances, the intimate settings of their music making, appreciating their work and artistry. The two of them are inseparable.

Should you wish to hear their music and see more pictures, visit their website:

Enjoy.

As I'm sipping the first of my morning coffee, your daughter's voice is gently purring out "Lazy Sundays", already my favourite. An amazing and artistic duo. I can only imagine how proud you must feel. Thank you so much for sharing this little secret with the rest of us. I think I will put in an order now!

I guess I'm privileged. For years, even while living in our little village of Val-David, we have had a high speed Internet connection. Last Christmas my kids gave me a new computer with powers I have yet to explore.
When I read other posts and how theire authors have "slow old" computers or slow connections, I can not help but be grateful for what I have and what my kids provided me with.

How cool is that...lovely voice. I read in your last post you're Italian? I love Italians, Italy, Italian food, wine, everything. My favorite place in the world that I ever visited. My favorite city, Firenze....grew up with Italians too, lots of them. Somethin' about all that makes me really love Italian :)

Rosaria, this shows you how dense I am.

When you showed me the group the Comforters before and I listened, I loved them, but I didn't know it was your daughter and son in law.

They are fantastic.

I love the name Pia.

Beautiful girl just like her Mama.

How does it feel to have created such artists? Pia's voice is overwhelming, so sweet and plaintive. Thier music is like their name, comforting. And your admiring post is the cherry on top. Brava Rosaria

The music is sweet, it reminds the folk music of the 60s. I saw the pics too. Your daughter looks intelligent and beautiful, with an intimate tone of voice. She might have taken more from her Scandinavian father's side (Denmark and Sweden,) though, differently from what Natalie says. But one cannot much tell from pictures.

PS
It is amazing how today parents and children can share a music they can both appreciate. It didn't happen at my time.

I do love your daughter's voice and "the comforters" style. You must be so proud to see your daughter singing her heart to the world. I know when my daughter sings, I am overwhelmed at the emotional strength her voice communicates to me. You have a lovely daughter and son-in-law...I celebrate your lovely family with you, Lakeviewer-Rosario!

I'm listening to them now. Lovely. I am reminded of all the times I "dicovered" a new music sensation. Turns out I was always the last on the bandwagon, but music is like that. As to The Comforters, I wish them success.
