Step into a new stage of life.
Ouch.Poignant truth.I also believe that things kept in the dark have a tendency to fester and grow.
What a thought-provoking post, Rosaria! You are so right -- the unpalatable is unacceptable to what we 'imagine' to be our world. But most especially, I think to those of us fortunate enough to be cushioned by our middle class world.
Yes, I prefer the sweeping-under-the-rug model for life.
This is like a Zen koan. Agree with Elephant's Child, that the shadow grows noisy when it is neglected.
it might be ok to acknowledge the dark, while focusing on the light? Beautifully said.
It is the road to accepting that "now" is different than what we planned for. I never minded precipices as long as I knew there was a bottom somewhere.
Profound words Rosaria ~~~
I think if we thought too much...... we'd never be able to cope. Maybe it's best to drift through *the now* and to concentrate on the good and the light.Maggie x
I knew you would have something that would strike home. You did not disappoint. Great truth.
Sometime we do and sometime we don’t, Rosaria. I just finished writing my post that included pretty pictures and events, but then I had more pictures that were, not scary, but poignant and showed very sad situations. We cannot turn our back on them.
I kept thinking about the upcoming election as I read this.... No ostriches for me.
