We build dreams every step we take...

Here I am, after a walk on the beach.

Yesterday, a little girl told me she wanted to live in a house just like mine. I smiled back at her and told her: "Keep that in mind, for what you want, you will work for, what you dream will become energy you send to the world. You will forgo so many other things that people perceive as important, fancy shoes, jewelry, vacations, and will not miss any of those things because your dream cannot be bought at a supermarket."

I hope that your wisdom on building our own dreams, step by step, will stay with that little girl and that she'll come to value planning ahead and working hard to make her dreams come true. What a valuable lesson and a wonderful post!

"Hey, I just like your house!"
Little Girl on the beach.

Seriously, good advice well stated.

Geez, I wanna see your house too Rosaria.
Seriously, you look good and strong and healthy. Right on!
I too believe that the things we tell children can make a difference in their lives. Actually, anyone's life I suppose.

I hope the advice takes!

Good advice. You've created your beachfront paradise with hard work. I won't have a house on the beach unless I win the lottery. My hard work bought me a house overlooking Hermiston Butte and the Umatilla River.

That is great advice and I'm sure if that the little girl follows your advice then she will go far.

I love that you engaged with her, Rosaria. I know she will remember you and the confidence you paid forward.

I am currently inspired by The Odyssey and the powerful determination to put one foot in front of the other toward a goal!

Hi Rosaria ... at least she's dreaming and dreaming happy - that's great ... I suspect she may have one happy long life ahead of her - and remember that woman on the beach with 'her house'!! ... Cheers Hilary

Ah but dreams can come true if you try hard enough - we are happy living in France we never thought it would happen.
Have a great week Diane

Oh, yes, Rosaria; you are so right about that.

I feel a little old for dreaming, but perhaps I should re-think that feeling. Maybe not long-term dreams, but possibly ones with a shorter term.
