Meet Newkie, our newest pet. I watch her as she adjusts to our new place, new sounds and new animals all around us.
She is teaching me new tricks.
1. If a place/person makes you feel uncomfortable, move.
2. Rest as long and as often as you wish, in the best possible places.
3. Get up only to play, eat, change position, look for adventures.
4. Listen to your own needs.
5. Train everyone around you to your wants.

I could live like that.
Morning Rosaria. It's close to midnight here.
Good observation of a cat attitude of life ....can come like it
That cat definitely has the right idea!
There's some life lessons there!
this gave me a huge chuckle this morning
Ah the felines....they are wise
..and when they need some lovin' or a pet...they reach out and get it
wonderful observation for a newbie kity owner
Yup, she's pure cat, alright.
Ha ha, Rosaria...you've unearthed the secrets to living at the center of the universe. Fun post!
I have never been a "cat" person...but I have to say I enjoy watching the cat who lives next door. She seems very comfortable in her own skin! :-) Wonderful lessons.
Hi Rosaria .. I definitely could be a cat .. they can even go on walks with their humans .. boy do they have THE LIFE .. lucky Newkie .. cheers Hilary
Love Newkie's coloring! And Newkie seems to have the same attitudes as Dulee, and he isn't even a cat! Some good lessons for all of us.
Newkie is a beautiful smart Kitty.
haha...perhaps she can train our new cat...who adds...
6. randomly attack those that walk by then give them a love filled face as if to ask "what?"
Yes, I always wanted to be a cat. :)
Sounds like she could be a Bear, but smaller sized.
Only, Bears don't bother training People. We're bigger than People, so they mainly get out of the way when Bear wanders in, thereby leaving Bear to do whatever is on his mind.
Life is simple; life is good.
beautiful. animals are so wise - and we would learn a lot about how to be happier if we were to follow their ways more often.
xo
Cats are so sensible. I am trying to follow those instructions too.

Oh, dear... I think I do that already. Beautiful cat.
Yes, we can learn a lot from cats. They really can teach us a lot about caring for ourselves. And they're a great comfort to have around.
As I say: cats have staff.
I read your take action post and this one today-so I took the action of vacuuming and washing the floors-nothing major, but it had to be done.
Then I pampered my inner cat-gave myself a facial and took a nap.
Thanks for the inspiration.
what about meow at 1 a.m. 'cause you wanna and then hide under the bed one inch beyond reach! well, that's my cat lately.
sounds like you're learning well, rosaria. go for it!

Don't forget "meow loudly until you get attention...then run away" or "sprawl across a lap and become dead weight--you'll have them right where you want them."
Those are my two.
Newkie is training you well--have fun!
P.S. word veri is "dograt" --HA!
G'day Rosaria. Now that's one smart cat. Take care. Liz...
Newkie, I really like the name.
Look at her look when I showed up in this room and saw her at the top of the bed, surrounded by white pillows and white covers.
"What?"
"I can't let you sit here!"
"Why not?"
"Because your fur would be all over the bed!"
"So!!!!!!!!! Stop bothering me!"
"Oh. I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bother you. Carry on. I'll get that package behind your head some other time. Get back to napping. sorry...................................................................."
She must really like you to be that 'rude' to you. :)
Glad she's adjusting so well... & really happy she's helping you smile.
Smart kitty! It sounds like she's got you wrapped around her little finger. :)
A beautiful cat, yes sounds like the life for sure. have a great weekend.
Newkie is a beautiful blessing to you now (providing you with lessons that you seem to be learning quite nicely!). I am going to love your posts about her, I do know that! ^.^
Oh, how true! We have two cats who have trained us well!
