Every day is not Monday.

On the docket today, Monday. The sun is shining!

1. Meet with the Bandon Writers. Share a story, a poem, an observation.
2. Lunch with writerly friends.
3. Talk about what we talked about in the group. Disagree softly. Agree loudly.
4. Home-continue talk with Hubby. Share and share......
5. Walk on the beach if the day turns out to be as clear as it promises to be this a.m.
6. Chew over the comments from the Bandon Writers.
7. Attempt changes suggested by the Writers.
8. Eat, clean, read, ponder those suggestions.
9. Dream about the suggestions made or implied by the Writers.
10. Wake up a couple of times to adjust heating unit, and any other units needing adjustment. Tell myself that Mondays are too much like work days. Heck! You're retired! You don't need anyone to approve or disapprove your work. You don't work!

I've heard many published authors counsel against writing groups for exactly these reasons. This is why I like online-- I don't share my work for evaluation, but use the community for support and comraderie. (I know I misspelled that word but you know what I mean)

You make me smile. I know you love doing what you do - writing, and that if you had to, you would walcome a second Monday in the week :)

tell me something..... When you are retired, do you sleep better on Sunday night knowing that Monday is no longer REALLY Monday?
Inquiring minds and all that.

Ah, glorious Mondays.
I have worked Tuesday to Saturday the last three decades and I have always viewed Monday as my own personal Sunday! I savour it for I know when it comes to an end I too will begin the first day of my work week!

Oh to be retired - but, it isn't all that easy - so I am told by my newly retired friends. They struggle for some semblance of order and routine. But that’s the point of retirement, isn’t it? No boundaries – the cattle can roam free.
Then I am reminded cattle will walk indefinitely in a straight line until they reach something that prevents them from continuing. In fact they could walk until they fall off the planet – hmmm – maybe Monday has a purpose after all.

Drop by and enjoy some photos that might help distract you from thinking about Monday!

I am so envious of your life, my dream was to retire on the Oregon coast, and become the old guy who collected the shells, glass balls, etc , and made my artwork from them? Oh well, maybe someday.

Oh, I think you had a lovely day!

The thing with you American people is that you cannot but be very active. Which is one of your virtues, no doubt about it. Here, especially from Rome southward, we are more slow-paced. It may be a virtue too. At times it is not. During retirement it may be. And you seem to take your writing very seriously. Which is well done.

Un affettuoso saluto dall'Italia cara Rosaria!!

Nothing tops a beautiful day on the Oregon Coast. Even if it's cold.

"Disagree softly. Agree loudly." -can I just go ahead and make that my life mantra, please? Brilliant.

A soulmate! I recently retired from one life and am starting another. Blogger and freelance writing along with semi-retirement is fun, challenging, and I am working on getting it right. I can't seem to fit everything in - writing first, exercise, parent time, grandparenting time, travel...

ah, disagree softly, agree loudly -- you crack me up rosaria ;-)

What's most cool about your list is that it's YOURS. You get to decide. Isn't that wonderful?

I've done Monday, it's Tuesday here.
I hope there will be an element of surprise in your Monday...

Yes. You ARE retired! And as retired people, we can do what we want to on a Monday. I think this Monday sounds like an interesting one for you. And we can agree or disagree with feedback we receive from other writers! We have that option, retired or not!!

Sometimes we do need reminding don't we? Every day is now the week end.

I like the way you let us know you were preoccupied all day with the group's comments -- without actually saying that.

Sound like a day full of inspiration that leaves your brain wired! You are right...your own style is wonderful...use only what you like from ideas...let the rest go. You own style is perfect!!

You are blessed with a wonderful retired life. You live in beautiful country, you have your husband to share and share, you have writing buddies as comrades, you have the time, leisure and comfort to think and dream and think what your mind desires!

And you make people, including those on the other side of the world smile, even though it is already Tuesday morning!;)

Every day you work, at being the best "you" that you can be. And it shows!

The beauty of retirement is that you get to choose your very miseries...and enjoy them.

Ha ha! That was a good post, Rosaria!

I once went to a writers' group led by some lovely woman at Barnes & Noble. Their correcting words still haunt me. I was told I was nothing more than a photo caption writer.

OK, then.

I'd like to meet you. So we can disagree loudly. Together.

I'm glad you dropped in. Now, to answers:
Karen G.--I have no creds. I need to be reminded of that.

Normal--no, one Monday is enough!

Roberta--yes, I sleep better not looking forward to anything that requires me running off somewhere. I've become a home-body.

Brian--save your strength for the rest of the week.

Hope--you too!

SAB--You're in the first phase still. I'll explain this in another post...

Pearson--If you ask us if we would trade this for that, the answer is no! But...we are constantly talking about THAT, that was, those days, with nostalgia and love. We miss so many aspects of work.

"Monday, Monday, can't stop that day" I've tried liking Monday's by getting up and ready for work and going "Yeah, it's Monday" but,it is always short lived.By the time you hit Monday Rosaria, here in Oz we are already starting Tuesday which is getting closer to Friday, Yeah..!!!!

Oh, I am so looking forward to the days that I don't do laundry on Sun. because I have 2 go 2 work on Mon. and I want 2 play on Sat. so can't do laundry then. 9 more months & a few days. I keep reminding them. I'm looking forward 2 being a home body for awhile. Luv the thoughts. Have a great day.

Ah retirement. Something to look forward to, after all. I am sixty five, but will go on at my job for a while until the children are completely launched.
