We live here!

Every day, rain or shine, we walk
Around the lake, down to the dock, to the beaches
The Pacific calling with rumbles and splashes.

First thing in the morning, we look out
and see this.
Then, we  breathe in deeply
and
Thank God
we are alive.

  1. That second picture is breathtaking and the reason I loved visiting Oregon. I wish we'd been blog friends last fall. We drove through your town! I would have loved to stop and say hi, or meet you somewhere for lunch!

  2. The Oregon coast is very beautiful. We never quite made it to your neck of the woods though. The Pacific air is always invigorating :)

  3. So beautiful! One day I want to visit Oregon. It is on the list. Walking beside the sea is one of life's great pleasures, isn't it - watching waves break, and listening to the rhythm of the ocean. Sea and mountains.... my favourite places!

  8. What a blessing to make that walk every day. To watch the changing sea and weather. To be part of the changing seasons so close to the water.... sigh!

  10. It is so very important that you enjoy where you live. Great views and fresh air compensate for any aging we may face.

  11. And what a gorgeous place to live! I love the rock formations on the west coast. You are so lucky to be able to walk to the sea from my house – it’s a bike ride away for us so I can’t complain.

  14. Hi Rosaria

Your stretch of the Pacific coastline has great charm. Walking is a great time to let go of the old and remind ourselves of the beauty that surrounds us. I like to think of my walks as a meditation in the now....and I like to use that time to feel gratitude.

    Happy days

  19. Lovely way to start the day. It seems that your beaches are black...as in Hawaii...? Surely, not volcanic ash...isn't every day a wonder?
