Old people sit around most of the time. Here, at a zoo, and in the streets of San Francisco, on a weekend trip, we tend to people-watch, and animal watch, and generally observe as the world parades in front of us.
Take a seat, and join us. Two children, two monkeys, clothed and unclothed, walking or biking, all on a sunny day parading unashamedly.
Fisherman Warf, San Francisco, May 2012.
I love sitting and watching.
ReplyDeleteSitting and watching is fun once in a while, I agree.
ReplyDeleteSan Francisco is certainly a good place to people-watch! So often we just plow through life with eyes turned inward, obsessed with our own thoughts... Good reminder to life your head and see more than the cracks in the sidewalk!
ReplyDeleteha people watching is one of my favorite past times...people are funny..and i tend to make up stories for them...or ask to hear theirs as well....
ReplyDeleteWhat a grand vicarious pleasure -- just sitting and watching through your pictures and video! Thanks so much, Rosaria, for sharing this lovely time!
ReplyDeleteI think we spend so much of our time chasing little kiddos, running errands, just go, go, go during our younger years that we've earned the right to finally sit and enjoy the sounds and sights of others running themselves crazy!
ReplyDeleteLove People Watching!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great environment for people watching. However, I see the strangest sights at any WalMart I choose to sit and people watch. Once a man came in with a fox tail attached to his jeans behind.
ReplyDeleteG'day Rosaria. Lovely photos. Sometimes it's nice to just take time out and watch the world go by. Take care. Liz...
ReplyDeleteLove watching people at airports.
ReplyDeleteAs the great Yogi Berra once put it, "You can observe a lot just by watching."
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of Fisherman's Wharf, with all the Sea Lions. Brings back memories of our trip to SF, years ago.
Nothing like the Wharf for people watching!! Enjoyed your perspective, Rosaria :)
ReplyDeleteI remember being the observed as opposed to the observer. I think of the two i prefer the latter.
ReplyDeleteWe're planning to go there in July, and will undoubtedly take part in the same activity. Wonder if we'll see any of the same people!
ReplyDeleteas a writer, one of the great pleasures of life is people watching (and monkeys if they are around!)
ReplyDeletecouldn't see the video - will check back later to see if it's up.
I have to laugh at how we must look to others. We are watching you....... no age requirement for this pass time.
ReplyDeleterosaria, for a moment there i thought we were going to get to see you:) watch you. i wonder how you move through your day when you think no one is watching. i wonder how any of us actually appears when we forget audience. but what opportunity to watch even strangers! have fun. learn much and share.

I need to get out more.
ReplyDeleteI lived near there for 14years and recognize those places. I learned a lot by people watching there, and was entertained, and was inspired. Glad you had that chance too.
ReplyDeletePeople watching........ one of my favourite occupations.
