Spring is Here.

The sun is shining, the camellia blooms are blanketing the ground, and our hopes are high.  Easter is just around the corner, and everyone seems to be on spring break.

What will you do to celebrate Spring?
What special foods will you cook?

It has been raining hard here in the Northwest.  New onions and peas will be sprouting soon and we'll be cooking our special Easter dishes.

I have posted a traditional dish served at Easter, in my cooking blog called  Verdetto.
Coincidentally, the story I'm writing on my fiction blog has this dish listed as a conversation starter, a way for the narrator to reconnect to her past, and to open up to her husband.

    Nothing blossoming here either and easter? That is a month away as far as I'm concerned.
    However tomorrow is sugar shack party with family and friends. Maybe Monday morning my sugar reading will be a bit higher than usual...but hey! that is a spring ritual not to be omitted.

    The mimosas are blooming here- their beautiful fluffy yellow selves. Saw the big moon on the horizon tonight before it disappeared in the clouds.

    The Camellias! So pretty. I have Crocuses, Daffadlls, Tulips, and Iris' starting to peak up. So exciting. Im sooooooooo ready♥
    Cooking? hmmm one thing I want to do is accept a challenege from another Blogger said to grow at least one summer food. I havent gardened in so many years. However, Im thinking it would be smart & fun to try tomatoes, and strawberries..yummy!

    Beautiful moon where I am this week - RV park on the Mississippi River. The camillias are beautiful in Natcheza and seem to be on the wane. They say the roses and magnolias will be here soon.

    The super moon was lovely, I hope you saw it in a clear sky. I just learned that Easter is always on the Sunday on or first after the full moon after the vernal equinox. I love learning something new!

    The moon was beautiful and it was perfectly visible, here. We've had Spring weather for almost a month, now and everything is in full bloom. Such a lovely time of year. Enjoy!

    Crocus, daffodils, tulips, magnolias, almond, all in bloom. Actually, I've never seen so many early spring blooming as I see here with the first rays of sunshine peeking here and there.

    That blue moon, however, kept itself hidden. I rely on friends to post pictures.

    Finally, spring! I have been going through a phase of wanting to eat coconut and mango all the time - a sign I need some sun! Here the buds are just starting to squeeze out. So happy for more light. Happy spring to you!

    My hostas and ferns are sprouting so fast, I can almost watch them grow!

    Due to thick clouds, didn't get to see the super moon rising, but when it got high enough, it was beautiful.

    Spring's here and yes, I also saw the Big Super-Whooper Moon! One of my two favourite seasons is here (the other one is autumn).

    I learned a new, to me, word here in Tucson about the wonderful moon the other evening, perigee, meaning the closest it will be until 2079...loving the southwest desert this time of year. Glad the tsunami did not hit your way. Yes it looks like spring for you, here in Tucson I am soaking up all the sun I can after a long cold MN Winter/////////////////1
