Greetings from the Far West, the westernmost point of the United States.
We've been watching television and reading the papers, following your situation and learning more and more about the issues that have taken you to the streets in protest.
We are in awe of your courage!
We are hoping your demands and interests are met with dignity and expediency.
It's a wonderful world if and when we can communicate openly and without fear. We have certain rights as human beings, we teach our people, and these rights cannot be taken away by anybody.
I stand with you, if only in a virtual way.
Thousands and millions of people in the world are thinking the same way!
May your struggles come soon to an end.
Respectfully,
Rosaria

Ditto!
ReplyDeleteJust pray their struggle will not be hijacked by the fundamentalist Muslims with the help of Iran who is stirring in the background.
ReplyDeleteEgypt could then be engulfed in a proxy war between Egyptian factions propped up by Iran on one side and the U.S.of A. on the other. A very sad but not unthinkable development.
I hope you advertise ur blog on sites where our friends can see it :)
ReplyDeleteAnother Amen from far Eastern USA!
ReplyDeleteGood post. Let's hope & pray for a peaceful & smooth transition.
ReplyDeleteamen, i stand in agreement as well...
ReplyDeleteVery well said!
ReplyDeletehoping for the best possible outcome!
ReplyDeleteI echo your sentiments, and prayers. There are so many people in turmoil, it seems. I think it never hurts to pray for those in need--send positive not negative vibes into the atmosphere!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful post, Rosaria!!!
indeed!
ReplyDeleteWell said, Rosaria. Well said.
ReplyDeleteAnother dictator the U.S. supported refuses to leave. Now this movement seems to have a leader, a face - a google exec who is Egyptian. Perhaps the masses will win, after all. I hope so.
ReplyDeleteThoughtfully written, Rosaria. It echoes the hopes of many of us all around the world.
ReplyDeleteLooks like they will not give up and hopefully peace will theirs soon.
ReplyDeleteThese people are so brave and such a credit to the human spirit. Peace and goodwill to them all. Lovely thoughtful post. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt is good that you speak for so many of us. I lament that lives are being lost as so often is the case. What a tragedy is taking place in Egypt. I feel so badly for the common man.
ReplyDeleteAdd me to your list, too.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Yes..... I agree too with what you said, entirely.

Amen! an I pray that there be a welcomed ending to the protest for the Egyptians and the people in the region.
ReplyDeleteWonderful post!
ReplyDeleteHowever, I think with all revolutions, folks should be careful what they wish for. The results don't always turn out so well. We are all praying that it works out for them.
Can I just add a huge fat "Amen" to your letter? It was perfect. And in the meantime - I will pray for a peaceful resolution.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said... I have chills after reading it. My name is there, right next to yours.
ReplyDeleteCiao

ReplyDeletexoxo thank you for writing this
ReplyDeleteI hope this situation will be over soon. We experienced this kind of situation before in Indonesia in 1998. Houses were burned, people were killed. It was terrifying.
ReplyDeleteIn light of the overnight news my fear of a greater more encompassing protest against their government is more likely to spill well beyond their borders. Alla hu Salaam
ReplyDeleteright on! Words of support bouncing around in space just might help.....
ReplyDeleteI've been away from Bend for close to three weeks ... wonderful to return for more episodes of 'sixtyfivewhatnow.'
