Dear Egyptians

Greetings from the Far West, the westernmost point of the United States. 
We've been watching television and reading the papers, following your situation and learning more and more about the issues that have taken you to the streets in protest.
We are in awe of your courage!
We are hoping your demands and interests are met with dignity and expediency.
It's a wonderful world if and when we can communicate openly and without fear. We have certain rights as human beings, we teach our people, and these rights cannot be taken away by anybody. 

I stand with you, if only in a virtual way.
Thousands and millions of people in the world are thinking the same way!
May your struggles come soon to an end.

    Just pray their struggle will not be hijacked by the fundamentalist Muslims with the help of Iran who is stirring in the background.
    Egypt could then be engulfed in a proxy war between Egyptian factions propped up by Iran on one side and the U.S.of A. on the other. A very sad but not unthinkable development.

    I echo your sentiments, and prayers. There are so many people in turmoil, it seems. I think it never hurts to pray for those in need--send positive not negative vibes into the atmosphere!!

    Another dictator the U.S. supported refuses to leave. Now this movement seems to have a leader, a face - a google exec who is Egyptian. Perhaps the masses will win, after all. I hope so.

    It is good that you speak for so many of us. I lament that lives are being lost as so often is the case. What a tragedy is taking place in Egypt. I feel so badly for the common man.

    Wonderful post!

    However, I think with all revolutions, folks should be careful what they wish for. The results don't always turn out so well. We are all praying that it works out for them.

    I hope this situation will be over soon. We experienced this kind of situation before in Indonesia in 1998. Houses were burned, people were killed. It was terrifying.
