Time for the Soul to Catch up!

I didn't come up with that phrase. It comes from a poem by Erica Jong, featured at
Von's blog at the Poet Post link below. Do visit.

A good life: Poet post

When you sit down on a rock and admire this view, you'll understand.

  2. I remember Erica Jong's "Fear of Flying." I guess I never realized she was a poet, too.

  3. I very much like all you've posted here. I clicked on the photos and read. Are these scenes from a WIP? They excellent.

I too remember Fear of Flying. And I did read Erica Jong's poems, many decades ago. Good poems.

I discovered Erica Jong's poetry after reading "Fear of flying" - very interesting woman.

  6. Wonderful post! Of the poets pictured, I love Erica Jong (her book of poetry, "Becoming Light" is a favorite of mine) and Anne Waldman (I love her book, "Fast Speaking Woman"). I think time after age 50 is catching up time. (But I've come to the conclusion that I'll never have time to read all the books I want to read.) I'm praying that there's an afterlife that includes a very big library. LOL! Blessings!

  9. The trick for me would be to sit still long enough for the soul to catch up.

  10. So lovely. I have places like that where the light is more stunning and the air fresher and I am restored.

  17. Just as there has been research published this week, that spending time in 'green' space is worth so much, this is a very fitting idyll you have presented us with - Many thanks, and it is wonderful to re-connect, my sweet x
