I just came back from visiting a new blog,
Christina's Soul Apertures.
It stopped me cold. I'm here to list my simple things:
*a view like this
*a plate of spaghetti
*a phone call from my kids/grandkid
*a kiss
*a walk
*a rainy day that ends in sunshine
Write your simple things today and be thankful. Visit Christina's post and add your comment. Her spirit will soar and her comments will help the folks in Haiti.
that view is breathtaking! wow.

one love.
That is a beautiful view. My simple things would have to include pepperoni pizza, phone calls from my little grandkids, time spent with my husband, chocolate, and a good book.
ReplyDeleteHow often do we really stop and appreciate the simplest of things in our lives? Thank you for sharing yours and for the link.
ReplyDelete... will do!

The simpler the better, it seems.
ReplyDeleteThere was an article in Parade last Sunday about this very thing, about how we are getting past the money buys happiness theory and realizing that it's friends, family and the simple things that bring us happiness. Duh!
ReplyDeleteIt is the simple things that can replenish a soul! Nature, hearty food, love, movement, good endings. Beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Soul Aperture...DH and I saw the movie "Blind Side" tonight (yes, they take a while to get over to those of us at overseas bases)... I was onion-eyed through most of the movie...fortunately I just leaked tears ...no sobs to distract the other viewers.

ReplyDeleteSimplicity is very powerful; complexity can be distracting, clutter is definitely distracting.
How funny. We both visited each other's secondary blogs. My main one is https://www.comesitbymyfire.blogspot.com. Maybe I'll see you there?
ReplyDeleteFull moons, sunsets, sunrises, people getting on streetcars, spring and fall, my fat cat, my breath.
ReplyDeleteI would be SO happy if my mom or dad wrote a few simple words to me every day, if I was near enough to hug them, if the silence that separates us was less loud, if…
ReplyDeleteIs that simple? Am I simple? I’m afraid that more simple I try to be, more complicated my life becomes.
Thank you for telling us all this nice, small and simple truths every day.
