Gotta go...

Ball

If you dropped in to talk about the ocean, you're too late. No, I'm late.  Here I am ready to go to the Ball, Willow Manor's Ball.  Here is the gown. You need to stop by Willow's to see the entire outfit and my date.

Suffice to tell you that I have reservations for a limo to transport me to the airport in a few minutes.  Hopefully, the weather will be fine in Ohio.  Rain is expected here later on. Must rush.

Ciao. See you at the Manor.

Have fun but stay clear of Johnny Depp, I think Willow might be very jealous of him!! :)

Hi Guys,
I'm on the plane, flying high, staying ahead of the rain storm due to hit the coast, ready to land in Ohio. I've never been to Ohio. All those states in the middle look alike to me. (Sorry, America, I had to memorize those states when I took my citizenship exam, promising to uphold, etc..) I'm landing on solid ground. Yeah! Do drop in. Everyone is invited. I plan on dancing with Sir Anthony. Willow can have Johnny. He's too much of a changeling for my taste. Sorry, I've got to go.

See yea......

I am drooling with envy over your gorgeous white ensemble!! So happy you could make it to the ball. I'll have to admit, it is a smashing success, thanks to all my dear bloggy friends! ~x

You look so beautiful in your ball gown. I love the way it drapes. I would love it if you would stop by for a martini at Linda #53. See you at Willow's!

Will you save me a dance. I wasn't invited but I plan on crashing.

Oh yes dear Rosaria I cannot cook or bake. However, I can wipe a counter really well.

Love Renee xoxo

But who is your date?

Hi folks, I'm texting from Ohio. I'm already tired and it's just a few hours into the Ball. Age will do that to you-make you tire before you want to-plus the shoes are killing me. I'm a barefoot princess. Do you think Willow will mind much if I go barefoot? I love you all for indulging me today. Who knows, at my age, you don't do too many balls.

Delwin--I'm always glamorous, in a practical way, with running shoes and warm clothes.

Shadow--The model is at least a foot taller than I am. One can still wish, no?

Erin--Erin, quick, drop the kids at the neighbors, and fly south to Ohio. It may not be warmer than Canada, but you will not see this much glamour anywhere else. The woods can wait.

Reasons-I have to be home by midnight? Eastern or Western S.T.? I can choose right?

Carol--Johnny Depp is too young for me. Unless they've gone around the blog a few times, know all the cliches, we have nothing to exchange.

Margo--You have no idea how long it took to snap this one. We have no shops here; nor anywhere on this coast. Even Portland's Nostrom was bare. Nobody is stocking these precious!

Betsy--Lovely to meet you. Thank you for stopping by and introducing yourself. What a small world, isn't it?

Reya--Hate to run, but my feet are killing me. You know how stupid we all feel when something begins to hurt. You look fabulous.

Ribbon--If I didn't travel the world on my blog-machine, I would have no idea of who wears what anymore. I'm in a monastery here.

Jane--White is not particularly my color. But red was taken, as well as black and blue. I love the lines here, the slimming lines.

Barry--I expect a dance from a new friend. Or two.

Brian--It's a work day for most folks, and doubly hard for those of you with small children. Yes, youth can do everything, except have the time we have in our old age. We could trade for a day.

Linda--Be right over.

Renee--Your girls cook, and that's fab. Love you. Yes, I'm ready to dance with you anytime.

It's great fun isn't it, if your feet hold out! I hope yours are rested a bit and we can have one dash round the floor while Miss Piggy is admiring the buffet. I'm surprised there's anything left, but don't let her know I told you!

You look stunning! I was thrilled to see you at the Ball! Are your feet hurting from all the dancing, as I'm afraid my "fine specimens" are now shrieking!

What a time we had.

I hear there's are feet massages in the library and soon you'll be back on the dancefloor in that stunning gown. You have exquisite taste!

You found the perfect outfit,
rain or shine! ;-)

Ball season here in Vienna hasn't started yet (I am told it starts with the Emperor's Ball on New Year's Eve), so I have some time to find a gown. Your beautiful coat would go well with any gown!

It was indeed a huge success. You looked stunning in your white gown.
I did change my shoes, apparently Willow had kindly supplied changes to those of us silly enough to wear highs.
Do hope you had a good night! Lovely to meet you.

Lakeviewer! You are as glamorous and lovely as you are eloquent and wise.

I've just come over from Renee where I read your comment on her latest post and, once again, I am floored and awed by your words. You are a Word Angel, y'know? Truly, every comment you make is rich with resonance and gentle wisdom...and always very beautiful written. I do so wish you would write a book?

PS. I've copied some of your comments on my blog into my journal. They are amongst my treasures - to keep for always.
