Like the Sixes, I have run my course
at the Cape, on the Pacific, on friendly shores,
happy, unfettered, undammed,
my life smoothed by tumbles,
flowing westward, American dream-like,
gold and riches still to mine
stories and memories of two continents,
in whispers and shouts, daily
in songs, hymns, tears and poems.
I will stop when I tire and grow fat
with tangles and choking weeds.

Thank you for the comment today on my blog. Music can make my mood chnage positive quickly. Unfortunately, my current job does not allow it. (I have decided to pursue a job with children again though, I am looking into the Blind School, wish me luck!)

ReplyDeleteMost of my pictures I downloaded after two years of chemo and to be honest, I don't even know where they came from never mind who did them.
Now though I put the artist name and even ask some artists if I can use them.
By the way your comment on poor and food and weight was too true. Isn't pepsi cheaper than milk?

ReplyDeleteWhat gets to me is the way we have been sold goods like coke and bottled water and baby formulas, all products that were pushed as though they were better for us that simple water and mother's milk. I read that many cancerous situations could have been prevented simply by eleminating all the exposure to plastic we get in our daily lives. Our environment has been slowly deteriorated with pollutants and we just kept buying more stuff before anybody did any long term study. I don't have the stats, but my hunch is that unless we put more product regulations, we're in trouble. Look at the peanut scare!
